What is the major difference between Google Penguin and Panda udpate?
Both works to get the best results to user offering the relevant queries to end user. So what is the main difference between the two?

Google Panda is an algorithm for search results ranking. The main purpose is to keep low quality and low content websites away from top ranking.
The Google Penguin algorithm update is introduced to penalize and decrease the ratings of websites that doesn’t follow “Google’s Webmaster Guidelines”. Panda was introduced in February 2011, and Penguin was introduced in April 2012, but many updates since then. So, what to do? My advice is – a) do not put too many keywords in the article (2% is optimal, works good for me), and b) do not over-optimize your page. |
Google Panda update is for Low Quality and on-page factors: content, trust, design and usability. Recently Google rolls out last panda update. In future Google can't gave this update again.
Google Penguin update is for Buzz and off-page factors: Mostly links (which includes links from social sites). |
Thanks for the replies. So If a website get penalized with Penguin what time period it should take to overcome it?
