What is Google Sandbox?

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content, abundant incoming links and strong Google PageRank, a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect.

The Google sandbox or “sandbox effect” is a filter pattern that Google applies to newly built websites that want to rank in the search results for specific keyword phrases. The filter exists to prevent SEOs and spammers from easily manipulating search results by satisfying all of Google’s major offsite and onsite factors.

Google Sandbox is generally used for websites which are newly launched and then arouse the suspicion of Google, usually by adding a large amount of new content in a very short period of time. This appears to Google as spam; and the Sandbox is essentially a spam filter which watches for suspicious activity, reasoning that a site which adds enormous numbers of new posts, pages and content instantly is probably filling itself with duplicate content or engaging in search engine spamming.

I think the Google sandbox is largely a myth but I can be wrong. In general, a new site will be way behind established sites just for one single reason - it is a new site.

The Sandbox is all part of Google’s effort to clean up its search results and provide visitors with results that offer the greatest value. Panda and Penguin punish websites for black-hat techniques in SEO, but there are still backdoors that allow some webmasters to get around those systems. The problem Google found was that SEOs learned to purchase valuable links, put together pages that were easy to navigate, and create visually appealing websites

The Sandbox is all piece of Google's push to tidy up its indexed lists and furnish guests with results that offer the best esteem. Panda and Penguin rebuff sites for dark cap methods in SEO, however there are still indirect accesses that permit a few website admins to get around those frameworks.
