Need Suggestion about .edu backlinks
 

I am planning to start link building for my site. One of my FB friends offered me to give 5 .edu backlinks via scholarship program for $150. My site has no do follow backlink. If I take the offer, will google penalize me? It seems to me so unnatural to have 5 .edu backlinks in such a short time!

Please advice!

I think this issue depend the content in which your link would be adjusted, if it's related to your theme then google counts its legal other punished your website. If the link adjust forcefully in the content for the purpose of backlink then google give penalty.
