Meta Robot Tag and Robot.txt

Hello all,

Would You like to tell me what is main difference between meta robot tag and robot.txt ??

The main difference in a robot meta tag and robot.txt is Meta tag is only limited to a particular page for its effect but robot.txt lists all the privileges and limitation lines for web crawlers in single text file for all the site.
