The general rule is only use your keyword 2 or 3 times per 800 words. I recommend using it in the title, introduction, and one of your headings or subheadings. To avoid keyword stuffing, use long-tail keywords or other variations of your keyword instead. For example, I write for an office cubicle manufacturer and office furniture supplier. Instead of repeating "cubicles" over and over again, I can use:
- office cubicles - new office cubicles - glass cubicles - cubicle panels OR cubicle walls - custom office cubicles - etc. |

Although keywords should definitely be featured in your content, they should not be included out of context to the reader. Opinions around keyword density vary, but as a rule, try to avoid repetition and only include keywords that are relevant to the subject of your web page. Including long tail keywords is a good way to prevent repetition.

Both Google and your site visitors will appreciate the fact that you’re writing for human readers, as opposed to search engine crawlers. And when you do, they’ll show your page in search engine results pages (SERPs) much more often than a site that stuffs keywords.
