The difference between the real use and significance of these social bookmarks and sites has been the issue that clients have been dealing with for the past few years. We will be finding it hard to see today which could produce the best effects for the online site that we are handling in terms of SEO. Some are saying that it us good to be using social bookmarks while there are others that see social networks as the most practical one. There are all good but in their own way. Like social networks can generate a great number of traffic and social bookmarking can get you some good quality backlinks.

General rule about social networking and social bookmarking is that they cross promote each other, therefore by having profile in one network you can increase your popularity on other networks at the same time.

Both are good. one gives you quality links and other gives you good traffic.

It depends on how much you community is strong on this.
If you hav good community on bookmarking sites you can get good result even many of the bookmarking sites are dofollow.
