question about directory management
 

ok my goal is to be able to simply place files into a directory, and have a php script able to detect present files of the directory, and extract information from it such as filename, contents, etc., and with that information, perform functions like implode/explode or to enter them into a mysql database. Help would be appreciated very much, im sick of having to type everything into a .inc file.
