Bounce Rate ?
Could anybody tell me the meaning of Bounce rate plz?
Thanks:) |
Google defines it as "the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page." It's basically the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site. The question I have always had is the length of time they have to stay and leave that single page before they are considered a "bounce." I'm some of the experts here can help us both out.:)

Put simply, it means how many visitors stick around and stay on your site (and for how long). Bounce means to leave (and if they leave quickly, that isn't good for ranking well). Bottom line, you want your visitors to stay awhile and click on other pages in your site.

Bounce rate is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and leave the site. A bounce occurs when a web site visitor only views a single page on a website, that is, the visitor leaves a site without visiting any other pages before a specified session-timeout occurs.

Bounce rate means visitors visit your site and quickly leave the site without visiting your sites's other pages. More bounce rate indicates that your site need more useful content.
