Spamindexing or just spamdexing (spamming + indexing) is a deliberate manipulation (spamming) of search engine indexes by site operators in an attempt to get indexed faster and rank higher. Spamdexing techniques may be divided into two: content spam (doorway pages, keyword stuffing, hidden text etc) and link spam (hidden links, cookie stuffing etc)

Spam indexing refers to practices that are dishonest to increase the ranking of web pages in search engines. There are a number of ways in which spam indexing is done. Spamming of any kind like keyword stuffing, hiding links, cloaking etc is generally termed as spam indexing. Spam Indexing is also referred as "Spamdexing".
