How do I remove bad backlinks?
 

Hello seors,
I owned a website which was previously worked on by another SEO company, unfortunately they used link farms and very poor quality backlinks which I have just detected. Some of them have no PR, others are foreign IP's and others have no relevant anchor text etc.
I want to remove those backlinks, any ideas or suggestion to remove them?

The only way I know of is to contact the websites that are posting the links and request they remove them.

I would contact the webmaster of all the sites, If you do not get a reply report those sites as spam, but don't expect them to vanish right away.
