The Mark as fixed is a fantastic feature added to Webmaster tools. It allows you to fix crawl related errors and mark it as fixed on completion. This will remove the URL from the crawl error list and ensure it wont come back again until Google again faces the same issue with the page again. Also by this automatic fix status, Google re-crawls the site which is an excellent advantages for SEO and ranking results.
