Google Penguin Update

Just wondering what the Penguin update was all about. What specific changes do I need to make in my linking strategies in order to ensure my sites are not adversely affected by this update. Any advice would be appreciated.

Getting quality back links is the only way to get rid of penguin update.

Stop link exchange 1-1 . It likes you exchange link to site A but site A shouldn't put the link back to your site. It is easy to get penalty from this way now.
