Why flash is not seo friendly?
 

I am designing a website ,the banner for it is designed in flash .I read in some blog that flash is not seo friendly.
Can anyone provide me the reason for it.

It is true that flash is not seo friendly because content within a flash file cannot be indexed by googlebot or yahoo slurp.

Search Engine crawler can't read content from flash file and also other negative point of flash is when you make your website in flash there is only one index file there will not be any pages, in single flash file all the pages will come.
