Well to be effective it should contain the main story not unnecessary writings and the title should be catch which should compel the reader to read further and yes no grammatical mistakes allowed.

keywords are very important

if you are writing anything for website always keep in mind your subject and your target audience. The language should be simple and clear. SEO point of view make keyword list which you want to target on that page, and incorporate those keywords in paragraphs of and headings.

First try to think as a reader....what type of stories do you prefer to read online...?? After that try Google instant or Google Adwords to have clear view on search impacts and keyword ideas....after that try to read an unique and quality article, and include those tragetted keywords in a suitable manner.....

Just Focus on some thing like :

you content is relevant your website

not spin able content

No mistake in grammar & sentences

Content is the king in the modern day.....Your killer contents can provide you astonishing results in SERP...

For me, what makes effective article is making your own write-up where anybody can related, just as long as the story is interesting and new, then it can be considered good article.

There are some tips which I can suggest hope they would be useful to you -
1.Avoid redundancy
2.Use some synonyms or if you some word for it then use it.
3.If you are suggesting something then it should be "your" instead of "our"
4.Suggesting what you are there to do so waste your time on commanding the user.
5.This is all depends on how strong your words are.If you use common used words in your writing that would not help just use your vocabulary to use some strong word which can hit users mind.
6.If your are writing about something than you should make user think,like let them ask something so you can answer their questions
like these there are more tips I can give by using them you can make money online by writing nice contents but for now I think they are enough and remember if your contents are good then you are able to make some money

Write about things that are relevant to business, but also try to find other topics that may relate to what your business/site does. For example, we are a job posting site, and we run articles on pretty much everything that relates to the job searching and hiring process. Also, remember to have links to your site in the article.
