Link baiting is essentially creating content that will generate links. It's really just producing quality content that people will want to share.

Link baiting is the special area on the website where you can place a link of the related content or some other information. This means that you are gaining attention of user on clicking that link.

the best practice in link baiting is to say something controversial or something, which looks impossible for others, but had happened. I am sure more and more people will share your link with their friends and definitely link with that to provide you more links.

I think link baiting hurts your website doesn't it?

Link bait is something different content and refers to a placement on a website for the strict purpose of tempting other web pages to link to that website. Link baiting is a viral marketing form...actuly its designed specifically to gain attention or encourage others to link..but i never using it for this purpose.
