Steve Webber and I climbed the north face on Saturday morning with our friend Ryan Galbraith. We started early, and chose a leisurely pace. The north face is in shade for most of the morning. This time of year, it’s almost mandatory that one picks a route in the shade, and times it correctly. Once the sun hits you, and the rock gets hot and slippery, climbing is a serious chore.
