Is it worth installing solar panels in my house?
Is it worth installing solar panels in my house to power all my electrical equipment and completely cutting off power coming from the grid, keeping in mind the initial investment and long-term savings? This website review says that If you completely cut-off from grid, then you will be needing batteries for storage. And batteries not only increases cost of project but they need to be replaced after 4-5 years plus its maintenance. Instead, go for net- metering. You can enjoy all electricity generated by panel during day time and during night time, you can fetch power from grid. In case you consume more than you generate, you have to pay for excess units.

If you live in an area with high energy rates and a suitable solar rating and can afford the initial investment, it's worth installing solar panels in your home while the 26% tax break is in place — for the good of the environment and your wallet.

Do I regret installing solar panels? Absolutely not! In fairness, I didn't have much choice as there is no grid to be ‘off’ where I live.

Absolutely agree guys, it's expensive to install solar panel but it's worth it. In order to make sure, just calculate how much you will spend by paying electric bills for 10 years and subtract the solar panels cost. In my view, it's really cost-effective, besides solar power is environmentally-friendly. Find out more info about it on this website.
