You have need to do quality SEO work, use high PR website to promote your website backlinks, and keep updating your website regularly with fresh and quality content.

Don't lose sleep over Alexa. It pretty much isn't worth referring too. I have friends in different industries who have more visitors than me but a worse Alexa position.

Alexa can be faked easily. And even if it isn't faked it's still inaccurate because Alexa only ranks sites based on who has the Alexa toolbar.

The bigger picture should matter - traffic, conversions, SERPs, ROI...
