I am searching about Profile linking but not found prefect ans about it yet. Guys can you please help me to understand that what is profile linking?

whenever you do any submission like article, social bookmars, press release etc. There has a section of profile in which you fill your details with your domain. This is called profile linking because when you fill your domain there it gives a backlink to your site.
