Help with track back repots

Google's new x-default

Google recently released a new hreflang tag, called x-default hreflang. i guess this is to tell the search engines which page to serve up if you haven't created a specific page around the language...

What constitutes spammy comment?

My list would include whether its related to the topic of discussion, also if its in a foreign language. I think that is a trigger sometimes. Anyone else have any ideas?

What is the best way to recovery from a Panda or Penguin penalty?

I've heard that you need to conduct a site audit and remove low quality content links. What about spam triggers? How do you get a link removed?

What does Google target when consider link penalties?

I've read that you should avoid using spun content, and make sure you have high quality content that is unique. Also avoid keyword stuffing. Anyone have any additional tips?

What is penguin and why should I be concerned?

Many have described Penguin as a harsher Web spam level penalty that targets sites that engaged in questionable linking practices. Does anyone have any tips how I can avoid getting penalized?

Hold onto your seats, another Penguin update is coming

Google has announced that another update is pending sometime in the middle of 2013. Make sure you have finished your link pruning if you haven't already.

Be careful where you get your links from

Some forums are now saying that if a site you get a link from starts selling links, the punishment could be as severe as 50% of their PageRank. And all the outgoing links featured on that site will...

Should I merge my existing Google local listing with Google +

Google says not to merge because the process is still full of errors. That being said, I don't really want to sit around and wait.

Drawbacks to the new google business dashboard

Google claims to be addressing these problems, but for the time being, custom categories are now gone, and there are no improvements to the verification system.

The buzz on this new system is that it feeds directly into Google's updated ‘knowledge graph’ data structure, which is awesome. This should
make it easier to manage.
