Is Alexa Rank really that important? Some 3 or 4 years back on the advice of a friend, I had even installed the alexa toolbar on my browser. Apparently that helps in improving one's alexa score because every time he/she opens his/her website through the browser, the alexa score increases a little bit.
But the visitors to your website too should have installed alexa toolbar on their browsers while visiting your website, otherwise the alexa score won't be affected. And you can't force the readers to install alexa toolbar. So I no more use the alexa toolbar.
