One of the phrases that you can keep on reading about it when doing any type of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Research is the key word density. But is it really?
Keyword density can be seen as the percentage of times a keyword appears on the page when you compare it to the total number of words on the page.
To work out the density of the site is simple:
X = number of times a word appears on page
Y = the number of words on the page
Keyword Density = X / Y x 100
Why is it important to establish and maintain a certain percentage of keyword density on your website?
This search engine allows you to use to determine search engine rankings. It is used to see if the site is relevant for a particular keyword or phrase. Search engines used to rely on the density of the site as one of the main factors that determine when the search engine ranking websites. It is less important in terms of SEO today, but it is still relevant to your website or article.
