Graphics Card Died - Need Assistance

I have a desktop PC that ran a Radeon 9600XT 128MB AGB card. When I turned on my PC, the screen wasn't receiving any input. I opened the PC, and it seems the fan on the graphics card has stopped working. It looks as if it has died.

The PC has a stock graphics chip integrated in the motherboard -- how can I boot from this input instead of the Radeon? I tried switching the monitor plug from the Radeon into the original plug, but there is still no video.

Is there a way to get the PC to recognize I want to use the old graphics chip from booting up?

Also -- I see these cards are cheap to buy -- if I buy a new one and put it in the old cards slot -- should it just run normal again?

Thanks for any and all advice.
