few of my tips..
1. I am not going to recommend anything about content and I request you to never take recommendations for content. Except SE like Google, Bing Product Forums while applying for Adsense. You are the Boss of your site and you know what your readers want.
2. If you want to make this website big buy web and domain hosting. if you want my help let me know to guide you through.
3. Your site is doing excellent as it has a fair pull factor(considering your social following).
4. Your site is slow try working on it.
5. Follow Huffingtonpost and mashable closely to know how they are doing right.
