SEO has come a long way!
I agree, Search Engine Optimization is better in the long run, but...
without getting Social Media Optimization it may be a while before your blog or website gets crawled enough to rank on search engine optimization.
I remember back a LOOOONNG time ago when "SEO" was all about having an "A" in your company name.
