Content marketing is about developing valuable content for the specific target group(s) your website or blog is focusing on. It's obvious: having content which is appreciated by target group, will generate traffic, likes, hopefully leads and (depending on your product or service) conversion.

Surveys show that content marketing is being used in the B2B and B2C-markets as well.

SEO on the other hand, will establish that the content will be found by search-engines.

In practice the two largely coincide in activities like page optimization, attractive page design, landing page design, etc.
