Because of the following:
1) Authority; if we read something on the CNN or BBC websites, it’s more likely to be true than if we read it in some random blog .. authoritative sites are trusted and Google knows that a site is a trusted one when more people link back to that sites
2) High click-through rate and a low bounce rate
3) Excellent content
4) Age
5) Engagement of the people and traffic ..
