It depends on what your business and target is
Twitter is great to get Media attention. Facebook is the way to go for Business to consumer. Facebook creates a advocacy effect while twitter spreads your shout out.
In the long run Facebook is unbeatable at this point.
Also I feel lesser young people use twitter than Facebook and more business people / journalists and sport people use twitter.
