There are many folks out there that would take that software and use it for illegal purposes. It doesn't matter for what purpose it was created, it can be use inappropriately, that was my point.
People commit crimes every day, who knows what tool or weapon they will choose to use.
Again, I never said or implied any theory of the origins of the research / algo..... I just pointed out that some one could use it for ill gotten gain. They will too. Software piracy happens all the time, and I can assure you no one never thought that software piracy was at the heart of creating the internet. .
