There are two fundamental types of backlinks and one is precious. Let’s look at each and every one of them and how they affect your place.

Any search engine can be ignored on a nofollow tag. From one site to another, they do not pass any value. They usually do not help to improve the visibility or rank of your search.

Dofollow links are the backlink everybody would like. Keep in mind that the most important people come from respected sites. This kind of backlink can contribute to the ranking of your search engine.

There are, however, dofollow connections that are regarded as bad or toxic. These links are obtained from suspicious locations or by violating the terms of the search engine.

This could lead to Google penalizing or de-indexing your website. It is not the number of backlinks, it is the quality which changes the rankings.
