Most of these socialbookmarking websites have a dedicated community who are ready to rate your website and tag them, which shall be an encouragement for others to visit your website. Your website shall receive a surge of traffic if it get into some popular pages within those websites, as most of the algorithms that drive these websites depend mainly on the number of ratings. So the concept is simple - Greater the number of people who rate and bookmark your website, greater shall be the traffic that your website receive.
