When it comes to backlinks, then it should be quality not quantity. An authority and more relevant backlink is many times better than irrelevant and low quality backlink.

Please don't listen to those who says build as many as you can. Nowadays quantity of back-links doesn't matter at all. A few back-links from high authority sites are enough to rank your site on 1st page.

It greatly depends on authority of website that is linking to you, having 10 good backlinks from high authoritive websites is better than having 100 backlinks from low or average quality website

Hey orlova its not depending upon quantity its depend upon quality of backlink means get backlinks from high pr and high authority sites then you can easily rank within just 1 to 2 months

Ideal number of backlinks should not exceed 40 to 50 per week. But make sure to index / ping the backlinks for faster indexing in google.
