Translations in SEO

Say, I have some articles in English and using them for SEO, for a website in French, I had got ranks, but I got a sudden thought, Rather than writing more, I am thinking on using translated versions (into French) of my existing English articles. Now my question is, will it be considered as different content by Google or still same? What do you think warriors?
