What would you say about directory submission and SEO, are directories helpful these days?

Directory submission can have no effect or worse.. kill your business! Google hates link farms and some directory's are blacklisted.

However there are some high quality Directory's out there and if you get your link placed in the correct niche in one of these directory's it will do wonders for your website.
