Some times during Search Engine update or if you have a new site or added a new webpage, it instantly gain 1st page rank, for the targeted keyword, and then sometime it positioned after 10th page. These happens very instantly. It means for a period for which you link is not stable on some page for a long period, is known as "Google Dance"

Suppose: you post today, it is 9th page tomorrow,and day after tomorrow it is on 1st page, and then it is on page 8th and stable there for a week, the next time when Google again cached it, this period is due to Google dance. It is happen in case of new links.

In search engine optimization (SEO), Google Dance is an out-dated slang term used to describe the period of time in which Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period. The "Google Dance" would happen anywhere up to 36 times per year, however in 2003 Google begun updating its index on a weekly basis, which all but eliminated the Google Dance.

The Google Dance goes back to the good old days of search engine optimization. Google used to update PageRank (PR) and the search engine rankings (SERPs) on a monthly basis. It was a big event as the updates would roll out.

I didn't know anything about Google Dance. In fact i heard first time about Google Dance.

Google dance is very interesting things. Sometime Google thinks that we are ranking old websites for much times now. There are so many new websites comes everyday. There is high possibility that new websites have good quality. Google gives them an opportunity to rank for few queries and then measure the factors like CTR, avg. time, bounce rate etc. and if it is much better than earlier result, Google ranks that website better.

You explained this term in very easy language. Even I phased this fluctuation in ranking, but was not knowing that this is termed as Google dance.

You would see changes in you keywords ranking in instant time. Means your keywords keep will fluctuate from one position to another position. This is knows as Google dance.

It's the period when Google is rebuilding its rankings, and results fluctuate widely for a 3 to 5 day period. Then called Google dance.

hmm yes google dance is the terms in which site suddenly get top rank and the drop down and this process is known as the google dance and this happens when google updating its algorithm

when site position in down and move up with two or three days, on in another hand when site is on top and get down within two to three days, mean assume that google algorithm is updated.
