Image optimization is way to increase the visibility of your images in google results and in other way you can say you have to make images google and user friendly

The best practice for image optimization is as follow

1. Alt Text :- it’s the text that the search engine uses to understand images ,
you simply add alt="this is your alt text" to your image tag. Here’s an example:

2. File Size :- You know that page load time for user as wella s google so make sure file size of your images do not hurt page load time
make the size of image as small as possible without compromising the quality of your image

3. Image name :- Before you upload your image rename your image as descriptive as possible , generally we use keyword we want to rank for as file name
e.g. <img src="SEO-Training-Chandigarh.jpg" alt="SEO training in Chandigarh" />
SEO-Training-Chandigarh.jpg is your file name
If you search any keyword all the images ranking for that specific keyword have same file name.

4. Captions :- Even caption of website have no direct relation with SEo what still if we are talking about bounce rate it is important.
