If you are not optimizing for Google then obviously you should get to optimize the search engines as well such as Yahoo and MSN and those of which frequented by visitors regularly.

The algorithm of Google is very advanced and upto date.
I don't think is any alternative of google.

Though there are various types of search engines, but there is no substitute for Google. It is reliable and very fast and no other search engine can surpass it.
