No not at all, I do not agree with your statement, search engine gives a good rewards to the blog site because most of the blogs are regular update with informative contents.

No never @Kunalmathur. Blog commenting is a best way to bring traffic. Yeah it is not profitable for link building purpose but for traffic it is an absolutely good way. But you should post your comment in high quality blog sites which are of your niche.

blog commenting is the best way in S.E.O.. you can get quickly position in blog commenting... but note that post the comment in relative blog....

I do not think blog commenting is going to be spam but if you r not doing well and writing well in comments then surely it will be spam. you need to read the blog post then write well, not only thanks post post is good and get one backlink.
