It's completely subjective. Whether a social network is "better" will depend on your audience, and how you are using it.

It totally depend on your social profile and you, how much time you like to spend on twitter and Facebook. I personally like Facebook.

From my experience I would like to say twitter is best for business purpose.
Twitter converts more
new visitors to your site
Appearance in search engines.

I get a lot more traffic from Facebook, but my Twitter traffic converts better. For my business, LinkedIn has been valuable than the other 2 combined.

Twitter is in fact, much better platform than Facebook when it comes to marketing and business promotion. Though slowly, the tally of users creating accounts per day on Twitter is becoming more than that of Facebook.

Yeah twitter more reliable as compared to Facebook, cause twitter more fast as compared to all other social networks. Its also helpful for getting fast index.
