Backlinks are incoming links to a webpage. When a web page links to any other page, it’s called a backlink. In the past, backlinks were the major metric for the ranking of a web page. A page with a lot of backlinks tends to rank higher with all major search engines, including Google.

The Backlink is a link which comes from the other website to the your website. The quality of the backlinks should be high.
