2G and 3G differences can be defines as their quality of sending and receiving data at a specific time. In 2G you can make call and send text, use a limited number of data sending while using WAP or internet in your cell phone.

Whereas in 3G the speed is quit faster. That means you can make video calls, live streaming videos from your mobile and watch tv also. Means in 3G it gives you freedom to send and receive data amount alot.

Now a days 4G is using which provide more data sending then 3G.

2G can only send text messages and making a simple call while 3G you can already use video calls, watch t.v and can send a larger data compare to 2G

The primary difference between 2G and 3G networks for mobile subscribers is that they get to enjoy faster Internet browsing and data downloading on 3G. On average, the speed of data transmission on a 2G network is only 170Kbps, while in 3G networks the downloading speed can go up to 42Mbps (or 43,000 Kbps).
