2D and 3D refer to the actual dimensions in a computer's workspace. 2D is 'flat', using the X & Y (horizontal and vertical) axis', the image has only two dimensions and if turned to the side becomes a line. 3D adds the 'Z' dimension. This third dimension allows for rotation and depth. It's essentially the difference between a painting and a sculpture.

2D means two dimensional and 3D means three dimensional. In 2D pictures are flat and move vertically or horizontally. 3D pictures are add depth and animations also move in three directions, vertically, horizontally and forward or backward. Difference between 2d and 3d can be easily understood by drawing a rectangle and a cube. A rectangle is a 2D figure and the cube is a 3D figure.

3-dimensional (length+width+depth) and 2-D " 2-dimensional” length+width"
2D animation tools are widely used for designing a website and the designers require great artistic skills to develop an amazing creation. In 2D animation, everything appears in a 2 dimensional platform and the pictures appear to be flat without any depth, offering only one perspective.

3D Designer: 3D animation the objects appear in a 3 dimension platform and they have a depth and offer multiple perspectives. They have shadows; reflections that are observed in real life appear to more practical and lively.
