Anything below 40 percent is a good bounce rate.

As a very broad rule of thumb, you’re aiming for a website bounce rate of under 40%. Between 40% and 55% is usually okay, whilst 55-65% shows significant room for improvement. If your bounce rate is above 90% or below 20%, that often indicates a tracking or code installation error.

Well, there is no benchmark as such but its very much subjective to the

product you are promoting & industry's average.
Overall landing page experience of the users. E .g. for insurance industry the bounce rate can be higher as insurance in india as it is still purchased offline more than online. People still rely on references & recommendations by their family & friends.
So in short, better your targeting & landing page experience is ,lower the bounce rate would be.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. It can be reduced by:

Good content update
Internal links
Easy navigation
Quick loading of webpage

As a rule of thumb, a bounce rate in the range of 26 to 40 percent is excellent. 41 to 55 percent is roughly average. 56 to 70 percent is higher than average, but may not be cause for alarm depending on the website. Anything over 70 percent is disappointing for everything outside of blogs, news, events, etc.http://www.phdassistance.com/services/editing-services/
