Bounce rate is an internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave rather then continuing on the view other pages within the same site.

bounce rate is nothing but the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to a given website that leaves the site after viewing only a single page. A high bounce rate can be interpreted to mean either that the content is not relevant to its target market or that the site is not attracting its target market effectively. Bounce rate can be measured in one of two ways: Either determining the number of visitors who enter the website but “bounce” or move before exploring anything other than the entry page or determining which visitors leave the site after only a brief time period.
