Both are of different marketing methods and SEO can be done without paying anyone and in PPC we need to have a budget to run a campaign through any advertising networks who offer PPC advertising. For example, Google Adwords is the perfect example for the PPC advertising network.

SEO is a long term strategy to organically improve the search engine rankings of a website.

PPC is the online display advertisement that is used to pull instant traffic towards a website. The advertiser is supposed to pay the bid amount to the hosting service against every click on the ad/s.

In SEO we have to promote a website in major search engines by creating quality back links via directory, bookmarking, article posting, forums and via blogs. On the other hand PPC is an advertising strategy in which business owner will pay to the Google for advertising of its business.

The optimization is very important and it gives exposure to your site which can bring in the pay per click advertisements for business proposal. So optimization is needed with the PPC to get going with your site.
