difference between local and global SEO

The biggest difference between local and global SEO is the language and the impact it has on everything. Language affects traditions, the way things are bought, how things are searched for, how people buy and why they think the way they do. It is such a complex sub-set of new things to do differently, that language alone can claim to be the distinguishing factor between global SEO and local SEO.

Global SEO focuses on large scale generic keywords to get traffic to a website. Local SEO focuses on generic keywords modified with a local environment to get specific traffic from an area to a website.

Gateway pages are pages specially optimized for one search engine and 1-3 keywords. They are also known as "doorway," "bridge," "entry," "jump" or "supplemental" pages. Gateway pages stand on their own, separate from the rest of a site. They usually feature a logo, some text and a link that encourages visitors to enter the site.

At one time Gateway pages provided webmasters with the opportunity to rank high for any keyword with any search engine. Although Gateway pages are still effective for sites with content that's typically overlooked by search engines, they are no longer the "magic solution" to all ranking problems.

Local SEO is a highly effective form of local online marketing. It allows local businesses to promote their services to local customers at exactly the time they’re looking for your type of business.
Local SEO removes the guesswork from local marketing. It’s not like dropping leaflets through a letterbox or putting an ad in a local paper which may or may not be seen by someone interested.

Global search engine optimization is the right SEO to use if your product, service or business is trying to appeal to a worldwide target audience
Make sure to choose a global SEO campaign if your efforts go nationwide or internationally. Global and organic SEO is great for e-businesses or digital products that have no specific location preference or are headquartered all around the world.

Global SEO is used for the optimization of a website globally. It's competition is higher than Local SEO. Local SEO is used for the optimization of a website locally by using local contact information.

Global search engine optimization is the right SEO to use if your product, service or business is trying to appeal to a worldwide target audience.
Local search engine optimization is better for the small businesses that have locations in a concentrated city or region.
