The Google sandbox or “sandbox effect” is a filter pattern that Google applies to newly built websites that want to rank in the search results for specific keyword phrases. The filter exists to prevent SEOs and spammers from easily manipulating search results by satisfying all of Google’s major offsite and onsite factors. In other words, new websites are put into a “sandbox” or a holding area and have their search ratings on hold until they can prove worthy of ranking.

So, the only way to get out of sandbox is by keep adding good content to your website? It would make sense for a blog, since you can just write more post. But what about a small company website? What content is considered worthy by google?

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content, abundant incoming links and strong Google PageRank, a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect.

Some time Google stop indexing the new website due to sand box affect, it take some time to recover from it or just build quality backlinks for your site

I would go for adding a blog after all your pages are setup as that way you can just keep adding worthy content which the more the better as google will pick up new material from your website each time they crrawl it thereby pushing your rankings higher.
