Google has released lot of algorithm like panda, penguin..etc. Currently Google has released Hummingbird Update. Now to get ranking is not kid play. Firstly try to complete all on page activity, remove all bad links from your site. Try to get links from only and only high PR and relevant site. You can use facebook, twitetr, and other Social media site to get traffic as well.
