Does keywords density matter?

Is Keyword Density Still Important For SEO? I'm using 2-4% keywords density, is it wrong? What is the ideal keywords density?

Please share your view here.

No! Keyword Density is not matter at all. It's outdated now and you mayn't need to involve the keyword in your key content. instead you should have keyword in your url, title, meta discription, h1, h2,...,h6, b,i,u tages .

keyword plays an important role in ranking of your sites, But key density doesn't because there is no need to put so much keyword in content

In my opinion keyword density is an over-rated concept. Even with similar keyword densities one page may rank while another does not. And that’s true even if they have the same link profile.

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. It should be maintained between 2-3 percent per page to get the maximum benefit of the content in search engines.

I think keyword density is still one of the ways search engines understand what your site is about.
