Referral traffic is used to describe visitors to your website other than search engines. It is Google way of reporting traffic generated to Website other than search engine.

Its a way of google analytics of reporting the visits that has came to our site from outside sources apart from the search engine. It tracks the the referral visit click to other site when someone clicks on the hyperlink of different site.
